Hi. If you’re here, there’s a chance you and I may have already met.

My name is Nick. Also known as Schnik. I’ve had a few domains from time to time but recently found a reason to close down my previous domain (schnikism.com) which will return with a little stronger focus on my perspectives of life. However, I have been an author at heart for longer than I can actively remember, and I really wanted to take a step back, and in some cases, reimagine, refine, rebuild, regenerate, and re-introduce my writing to people who may not have seen it before.

I am not a professional author, though, in my wildest dreams, I would love to – at some point in my life – have my name on an honest-to-goodness published book. In the meantime, I’m just writing from this heart of mine, as I’ve spent a great deal of time in the past…. Oh, decade or so, in some serious darkness (more to be revealed as time goes on) and I’m clawing my way out into the light.

Someone recently told me: “Share these, your words, your feelings, your emotions, and your light with the world. You may never know who needs to hear these words. The love that flows from your words may actually save someone’s life.”

There have been so many times in my life that reading a simple set of words on a page or writing a set of words are probably the only thing that kept the air filling my lungs, that kept my feet on the ground, that made it so I could face another day on this planet. So, if there’s the smallest, simplest, razor-thin chance that I can be that anchor, that tether, that hand, that light reaching out for you, your heart, your soul, from my darkness, into yours, to find your hand to help you take your next breath, to pick up the phone to call a trusted friend, to call for help… It’s a chance I’m willing to take.

To write, deeply and completely, from this heart, to send those cosmic vibrations out into the universe and if they find their way to you and you need to feel them, to read them, to connect with them, and thusly with me.

It’s a chance that I will always be willing to take. From one heart to another.
