Dream, Love, See.

In happiness, we find solace.
In sadness, we find the balance.
To breathe each day.
Alive, striving, surviving.
Another morning’s dawn,
Another horizon,
I have arrived.

Not because nor in spite,
not in delight of either.
The faith that grows deep within,
has been forged in,
the battle fires of hell.

Like a peregrine of coal,
darker than night,
my soul,
will too rise,
pressure-treated sparkling diamond,
a phoenix.

In this world,
so much hate, distrust, disgust, lust,
and injustice.
In this world,
it’s a wonder, no blunder, a hunger,
not put asunder.

A single force, a single human,
however, well-meaning being,
with godlike hands, plans,
upon high horses.

These hands built a dream,
these hands build a dream,
these eyes have seen,
A world built on love,
when it matters most.
